The recent Artists in Action event at Tinui was a great success. There was a lot of local support for the event from the Tinui community as well as a large no. of people turning up from the wider Wairarapa region and even Wellington. Sam had his pottery stall set up for the weekend and it was a great experience for us to be a part of the event - we'd like to say a big congratulations and thank-you to Barry and Trudy (and all their helpers) for all the hard work they put into it. As part of this years Conservation Week the Makoura Stream Restoration Project planted 3000 of the 6000 native’s supplied this year by DOC. The remaining 3000 plants have been planted throughout October, 1000 for the Ontrack land between Webstar and the railway line, 1000 for Lakeview School and 1000 at Chanel College.

It's that time again! Masterton's eDay is happening on Saturday 6th November. eDay is about cleaning up electronic waste (e-waste) which can seriously harm the environment, wildlife and human health when dumped in landfills. eDay is a cars-only drive-through recycling event which gives you the opportunity to recycle old computers or mobile phones in an environmentally sustainable way.
