About Me

The creator of this site!

I created this website when travelling in China back in 2009. Sam and I were there with 50 artists from around the world living in a high rise hotel whilst Sam built his first large scale sculpture (check out our China blog for more info!) A completely amazing and somewhat bizarre experiene. The inspiration for the site came from my desire to contribute to what was happening back in the Wai while away from home. Sam and I then carried on to the UK from China to work and save for a few months. We got a bit stuck in the UK but finally arrived home in 2010 just in time for the birth of our first baby, Isabella.

On the work front, I am work with women entrerpreneurs showing them how they can combine a profitable business with their passions and a  making a difference. I co-founded the company Love Your Small Business with my biz partner Jo Foster in 2010 and we specialise in fun, adventurous business planning that gets results.

Prior to striking out in business, I worked in the community and youth development sectors specialising in leadership development and organisational health and balance. One of our Love Your Small Business values is environmental activism, hence the WaiNotGoGreen website. You can find out more about our work on the LYSB blog.

Cheers.
Janine

Hi Janine, Use five or six soapnuts per wash. You can often get as many as six to eight washes out of each set of soapnuts.

So you're away again Janine? Or maybe you've never come back . . . are you still in China? By the way your 2009 Green Party sub expired on 2nd October, but I'm sure you'll be renewing.

Yip sounds good. Lots coming up with Conservation Week which I'd like to place on this website and advertise links to? Is there some way of me being able to edit pages rather than you doing everything?

Hi Janine, Where are you now and when are you home ?
We are holding an event at Pukaha in late May that should be cool. Focusing on Maori perspectives of the environment - looking at tuna, harakeke and rongoa. I will put it on the page once it is all confirmed. Cheers
